CO₂ absorption
Seaweed is an active carbon sink. Our long-line cultivation contributes to climate-change mitigation while producing raw material.
Shelter for species
The cultivation lines become habitat for seahorses, sea cucumbers and juvenile fish — species under pressure in the Caribbean.
Coastal employment
We create direct and indirect jobs in Cubagua and Punta de Piedras, traditional fishing communities of eastern Venezuela.
Research
Agreement with Universidad de Oriente: we serve as a research center for marine-biology students, feeding local and future science.

Our impact is not a slogan. A 2024 scientific review on macroalgae farming documents the environmental benefits of the mariculture we practice.
Biofilter of the sea — SDG 6
Macroalgae remove nitrogen, phosphorus and heavy metals from the water, acting as a natural biofilter that improves the quality of the marine ecosystem.
Carbon sink — SDG 13
Red-algae farming captures carbon as an ecosystem service. The literature reports capture estimates for genera such as Eucheuma and Kappaphycus, with figures that vary widely by site.
Livelihoods — SDG 8
Seaweed mariculture generates sustainable income for vulnerable coastal communities, without using arable land or freshwater.
